Llloyd Carr guarantees a playoff in the future.
"I can guarantee that at some point, it will happen," Carr said at a news conference Friday. "When the BCS was set up, that was just the beginning. We're in a phase of discontent by some people. There's a lot of people who don't want a playoff, but I think it's growing the number of people that do. And I think we're going to have one."

BCS selects Florida to play for a mythical national championship.
Florida beat Michigan on Sunday in the only game that mattered. The Gators, who lobbied hard for this victory, were picked to play No. 1 Ohio State for college football's national championship, ending any chance for the Wolverines to get the rematch they so desired and thought they deserved. But Florida got in by a whisker -- just a hundredth of a point in the Bowl Championship Series Standings.
