USC moves into #2 in BCS rankings.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Southern California is a win away from returning to the national title game.

The Trojans moved into second place in the Bowl Championship Series standings Sunday, passing idle Michigan on the strength of a 44-24 victory over Notre Dame and closing in on a matchup with undefeated Ohio State in the title game.

A potentially 12-1 Florida team that will have played 4 of the current top 11 teams in the BCS, with a much more respectable loss than that of USC, has no shot if USC beats UCLA. Fair?
