BCS Selection Committee? The "tweaking" season begins (sigh...).

"Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese said Sunday several issues will be discussed in the coming months, including eliminating computers from the selection process and adding an extra Bowl Championship Series game."

Congratulations to the LSU Tigers and their fans on their share of the national championship.

NEW ORLEANS -- LSU's defense wasn't too impressed with the highest-scoring team in the country...

The back-pedaling begins. BCS Chairman Mike Tranghese continues to spin and lie:

"I can tell you the six commissioners do not take any delight or pleasure in having to defend a poll we didn't want to have in the first place," said Tranghese, the Big East commissioner.

Unbelievable.

Ray Ratto of the SF Chronicle and ESPN.com puts the BCS joke in its place.

"So the Bowl Championship Series performed as expected -- inadequately -- and we are left with the surprisingly agreeable result of a split championship.

But the people who defend the BCS (largely drunkards, rounders, madmen and athletic directors) say the system needs just a little tweak to become the perfect instrument of college football supremacy that ABC is paying for it to be."

Congratulations to the USC Trojans and their fans on their AP #1 season.

USC is a great team that was robbed of a fully undisputed NC by this sham of a system. Not fair to them or any CFB player or fan.
