Some absurdities from the latest BCS poll:

1) According to the computer polls, Miami should still be #2.
2) Virginia Tech's schedule so far (6 of 8 games at home, only 2 of 8 have been BCS conference teams above .500) has been harder than those of LSU, Michigan, Georgia, and Texas so far.
3) One computer says TCU is the 4th best team in the nation. One says TCU is 33rd best. That seems consistent.

Matthew Zemek on the BCS:

"With the BCS, you have nothing. Either have all the tradition and all the controversy, or none of the tradition and no controversy. With the BCS, though, you have greatly diminished tradition and tons of controversy. It’s awful."
